Independent media of the University of Copenhagen
The University Post, or UniversityPost.dk, is the English-language media of the University of Copenhagen. We are editorially independent of the University of Copenhagen’s management. The website is edited in accordance with objective journalistic criteria and should not be seen as an expression of university management’s point of view or priorities.
We share our web platform and technology with the Danish-language University of Copenhagen media Uniavisen.dk. We are formally part of the media 'Universitetsavisen', which is formally accountable to an independent editorial board, the 'Bladudvalget'.
The University Post reports independently on stories, and is edited independently of the Danish-language site Uniavisen.dk.
Our reporting philosophy
The University Post aspires to an open source news reporting philosophy. This means that the University Post has no permanent, salaried reporters, but only an editor, whose contact details are below.
We see our primary mission as one of screening, editing and publishing news articles and featured comments that are contributed to us from our readers and a team of freelance reporters. Stories and comments are related directly or indirectly to the University of Copenhagen, and to the wider campus and academic environment.
How can I take part in the University Post project?
Part of our news content comes from a team of freelance University Post reporters and photo reporters.
If you are interested in joining this team, send an example of your work, and/or a specific story idea or project to editor Mike Young on email@example.com.
You are welcome to send us ideas for stories, pictures and reports from events and news that has taken place on campus to firstname.lastname@example.org. For large files, we can send you a Dropbox invitation on request.
