World breakthrough for LEGO Atlas detector

The large model in LEGO of the Atlas detector from the laws-of-physics-busting Large Hadron Collider is now to go on a world tour, says the model’s creator, Sascha Mehlhase. 23,000 people have seen it on UniversityPost.dk

Art: Opening of Colliderscope

A new light sculpture transmits live signals from the Large Hadron Collider experiment in Switzerland to Nils Bohr Institute's facade on Blegdamsvej. Here, you can see pictures from the opening event which took place last week.

Hundreds of LED bulbs on the outside of Nils Bohr Institute (NBI) in Blegdamsvej will transmit live signals from particle collisions at the Large Hadron Collider physics experiment in CERN, Switzerland.

See a longer article about the colliderscope here.

Are Danish students spoilt?

Comment: Education is not just to get a job

Words like ‘critical skills’ and ‘reflexivity’ are just trendy buzz. Instead we need to imagine a just world, argues Amir Susic, a humanities student at the University of Copenhagen
