Tuesday, 5 November, the University of Copenhagen hosted the launch of art exhibition ''Too Young to Wed'', an art exhibition about child marriage featuring photography by Stephanie Sinclair and video by Jessica Dimmock. The show highlights the personal narratives of girls from Afghanistan, Ethiopia, India, Nepal and Yemen.
An inspiring panel discussion was also held by the UCPH School of Global Health, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), as well a talk about the Danish government’s priority of sexual and reproductive health and rights, and the role of education and universities’ role in eliminating harmful traditions through enlightenment.
The event was located in the Christian Hansen building, at CSS campus, and had over 300 attendees, notably including Crown Princess Mary and Rector Hemmingsen.
Our University Post photographer, Martina Zamboni, was on-site at the event.
