Yes, I totally agree with the article, may be I should have attended this interview. Though the colleagues and supervisors try their best to make you feel at home. Handling PhD stress can only be done with fellow PhD foreign students.The rest dont think discussing stress is a solution. Language is a big barrier. You are only accepted if you know the language.Otherwise you always remain a foreigner.
I'm so sure that danish counterparts are easy at lab as they have no language barrier. They are much ease at work than foreign students, because of the homeground advantage. I suppose it will always be the case, no matter which country you go.
