International students can earn money by babysitting, as many parents want their children to start a new language early
5. Social networks matter
In Denmark, knowing the right people is part of finding the right job.
This makes your network important, as there are many vacancies that are not announced anywhere. You will hear about these from speaking with friends, colleagues, classmates, professors, etc.
At a party, in the university, even doing the shopping you could meet someone who has a job for you. Keep your eyes open!
Make sure you are signed up to LinkedIn and Facebook. These are important networks, so make sure that your friends and former colleagues know that you are looking for a job.
4. Take advantage of your language
If you use your language intelligently, it is an important tool to earn money.
For instance, many parents are seeking baby-sitters who speak a language that their children are learning. Find these opportunities by visiting schools or languages schools.
Put up announcements around the University, offering yourself as a private teacher of your language.
3. Student teaching assistant
The University of Copenhagen offers students the possibility of being a student teaching assistant in a course that you have already taken.
If you are interested, ask the teacher if assistants are required. Some teaching assistant posts are also posted on the job portal of the University.

2. Temp job agencies
Temporary job agencies are ideal for students who are not looking for a full time job. They offer different types of temporary employments, so that you can study and work at the same time. Try them out.
Here is a selection of agencies:
1. Volunteer jobs
It seems paradoxical that we judge this to be a number one insider tip for jobs, but don’t drop the idea of volunteering. It may be a good way of meeting people, having fun, and may lead to other paid jobs.
Cph Volunteers is a website where you can find many volunteer activities and events around Copenhagen. You will not be paid for this work, but most of the times there is a reward, such as free tickets for events, free meals, etc.
Another option is working at the Student Café, the Studenterhuset, where you will get free tickets for drinks.

There are between 30,000 and 50,000 animals at the Faculty of Health Sciences, all used for experiments. Our Danish colleagues in the Universitetsavisen were given an exclusive tour of the facilities
