For Danes the summer means the Roskilde Festival
5. Half price opera
The Royal Danish Opera? Sounds expensive! But there are special offers for students.
Here you will find information about the different shows.
The box office at August Bournonvilles Passage 1, in Kongens Nytorv, sells half-price tickets for students under 25 who order them a week in advance. The offer is also available for everyone (not only students) after 4pm on the day of the event.
Latesale.dk also offers half-price tickets on the day of the event
4. Roskilde Festival
Ask any Dane whether to spend the summer in Denmark, the response is always the same: Stay so you can catch the Roskilde Festival!
It is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe. Gorillaz, The Prodigy or Patti Smith and Band are just a few examples of the bands that will perform there this year.

A good option for students is working there as a volunteer; a great opportunity to experience the festival up for free.
There is a group on facebook for information on how to volunteer there: look for Infomøde om festivalarbejdet / Infomeeting about the festival work.
3. Harbour sunrise
There are few things as fascinating as gazing at the sunrise in front of the Black Diamond.
Stop by at the harbour on your way back home from the party, and anjoy the particular light and calm of the early Copenhagen sunrise at this time of year. Don't miss it.
2. Cycling in short sleeves
You may have already done this. If not, you will surely end up doing it. The sun is finally shining in Copenhagen and you decide to hop on your bike in your shirtsleeves pretending that the weather is warm, even if it is 10 degrees celsius outside.
More things to do with your bike: Ride randomly around the city with a friend, taking it in turns to decide whether to turn left or right at crossroads. You will discover places in Copenhagen that you have never seen before. Remember a map to find your way home!
1. Swim between the buildings
What could be better than swimming in the middle of the city, between the buildings? Copenhagen Harbour Baths give you the possibility of swimming in Copenhagen canals. Harbour Baths are enclosed in an urban harbour landscape. There are different size and depths of swimming pools and diving boards.
Read more about the Harbour Baths here.
Strange succulents, tiny seedlings and plant pests (under the microscope). All laid out in the greenhouses
