Students to block humanities buildings Monday

English, German and Romance studies department will be blocked by student protesters Monday. Frustrated by cutbacks on teaching hours, they say

Students at the Department of English, German and Romance studies will stop access to their buildings Monday 14 March. This is according to a press release.

The protest is against politicians' underfinancing of their study programmes, resulting in fewer contact hours and teaching resources, the organisers say.

»We will blockade the department in frustration over the slow starvation of our education,« says Lars Troels Møller, who is one of those students who is behind the action.

The number of teaching staff in English has been halved over the last ten years, according to the organisers.
