The board of the University of Copenhagen has extended Rector Ralf Hemmingsens contract, which now runs to 31 October 2013

Ralf Hemmingsen has just got a delayed birthday present. The University of Copenhagens 258th Rector turned 60 recently, now the board of the university has extended his contract from 2010 to 2013.

»The board and I are glad that Ralf Hemmingsen will take on the responsibility and the good work in keeping the University of Copenhagen on the right track. He has a unanimous board behind the decision,« says chairman of the board Nils Strandberg Pedersen.

Professor Ralf Hemmingsen has a doctorate in medicine. He has previously been a specialist in psychiatry, consultant psychiatrist at Bispebjerg Hospital, and Dean at the Faculty of Health Sciences. He has been Rector since 1 November 2005.
