University of Copenhagen's energy-efficent building has been awarded a building prize for innovation

The new lime green carbon-neutral university building,The Green Lighthouse, has just won a Danish Industry prize for building innovation.

The Green Lighthouse was praised by the awarding body, DI Byggematerialer [Danish Industry Building materials- Ed.], for being a fantastic example of cooperation between actors throughout the industry.

The prize is awarded, »to acknowledge a businenss or a person, who has, due to a particular effort, advanced and aided cooperation in the building industry,« according to DI's website.

The key criteria for choosing a winner are innovation and cooperation.The winner was revealed at the DI annual general meeting on Thursday.
