After hours of bumpy biking, everybody was pretty exhausted
Marking the beginning of the University Sports Organization's summer activities, 20 students spent 3 hours of their Sunday afternoon biking in the hilly forests of Copenhagen

Students, Danish and international, can look forward to a summer full of activities for both body and mind.

The summer programme of the University Sports Organization, USG, has just been released: Besides weekly classes offering everything from tribal style bellydance to parkour, the programme includes several one-day events.

One such event was the mountain bike tour Sunday, 8 May, where physical activity and appreciation of the forest were reconciled. Participants had an action-packed day in the blooming forest.

Get in shape for your finals

On 19 June, a similar event will take place when the ‘Big Biking Day' is celebrated. If you prefer water sports, a kayaking event is coming up on 11 September connected to the ‘Day of Nature'.

USG also offers a way to get in physical shape for your mentally draining final exams. Next Saturday, 14 May, you can sign up for some calming pilates, energy-filled dancing or a hardcore cardio workout to boost you energy prior to your exams. With a registration fee of only DKK 20 there is no excuse not to be fit.

You can sign up for all one-day events on USG’s homepage. If you have not signed up for any of the weekly classes yet, there are still open spots in some of the classes.

Take a look at the USG page here, and sign up.

Over the last few years, the University of Copenhagen has gotten smaller. But it has accepted a record amount of students and hired more staff. Students and staff complain, but management argues that less space doesn't equal worse conditions
